Beer of the Month – July 2016

Screen Shot 2016-08-01 at 11.28.30After a *dramatic* end to June with the referendum result, the start of July was full of uncertainty. But with all things in life, you just have to solider on and see whats next. Thankfully, it has turned out to be a really great month for us.

The second edition of FERMENT focussing on London, was shipped out across the UK and we got some really great feedback on the articles and the artwork.

Through the sun and the apocalyptic rain, members of the club received their July box, also themed on London. It included some cracking beers from London brewers Five Points, Fourpure and Portobello, two low ABV beers packed with flavour, a tasty Rogue American Amber, an exclusive release from North Brewing Co and a delicious hopped mead from Gosnells. All in all, a phenomenal box and our members loved itScreen Shot 2016-08-01 at 12.27.09.

If you’re a regular reader of the blog you’ll know that the team have been here there and everywhere during this month. Visiting the fantastic breweries of Scotland and as I write this Fraser is off in Colorado, the ‘craft beer state’ to find some awesome beers for our up coming box.

An exciting month indeed and we can wait to get cracking with August. We’ve chosen a beer of the month from a brewer that we admire greatly. They also sent us some awesome beer which helped us cope with the one day heatwave we had…

Kipling is one of our favourite beers from the Thornbridge range. It’s a South Pacific pale ale from Derbyshire, which gave us memories of the tropical weather we’ve been experiencing. It’s zesty, refreshing and packed full of Nelson Sauvin hops to leave you dreaming of tropical islands in far flung places. Like our month its been jam packed but rewarding. It’s delicious and you can grab it from our bottleshop here!
