Beer of the Week – 26/08/16

Another Friday – another beer of the week. We have been bathing in the sunshine the past few days up in Edinburgh – fitting as the festival comes to a close. A great week as many took advantage of our text beer service to get an extra delivery for the bank holiday – beer by text a great idea even if we do say so ourselves. And as August comes to a close we’re reminded that possibly the best month of summer are behind us. With that in mind, we wanted to make a final stand for summer with our beer of the week…

DEAD PONY CLUB (1)

Kriek from Boon is probably one of those beers you’ve heard of but haven’t tried. But its renown as one of the great lambic beers. A blend of young and old lambics with black cherries added to the beers after 6 months of maturation – it’s a really well balanced beer not too sour, not too sweet, the perfect equilibrium. We thought since it was the end of summer we’d better pull out the stop and this is one of the best summer beers around. You can Grab it here! Now, when’s Christmas?!
