Last month we set off on a once in a lifetime journey – a pilgrimage to the home of craft beer in America, Colorado. And with our friends at Colorado Tourism UK & Ireland, this month we’re going to share it with you online by posting behind the scenes insights and articles…

We want to bring every stage of this road trip to you. So, with your copy of FERMENT and your delicious selection of beer imported directly from the craft beer state, you can get immersed in the culture and join us on that journey. Learning about not only the great beer, but the amazing breweries, the wonderful people and the beautiful scenery that this state has. Here is how our journey will go…

Spotlight on Colorado – 07/09/16

We step back and look at the vibrant brewing scene of this wonderful state as a whole and why it’s the home of craft beer in America. Expect stories from our time there, tips for our favourite bars and restaurants and insider knowledge on what make’s Colorado so special.


Drinking in Denver – 09/09/16

We share the nightlife of Colorado’s biggest city as we sampled our way through dive bars, delicious food haunts in the Highlands and even a visit to some gastro-brothels. Certainly an eye opening adventure to remember.

Meeting The Biggest Brewer in FortCollins – 11/09/16

We dropped in to New Belgium, the biggest brewer in Colorado. A truly craft-to-the-core it is completely owned by its employees. We shine a spotlight on this American great and it’s range of phenomenal brews.


The Beauty of Estes Park and Rock Cut Brewery – 13/09/16

One of the most achingly beautiful areas of countryside, in a state that isn’t short of them. We cruise through the Rcokies and let you know some of the ranges secrets. Stopping off with a great local brewery, Rock Cut and sharing a beer with the locals, who share their thoughts on craft beer and what it means to them.



Falling in Love with Loveland – 15/09/16

One of the smaller cities in the state – we open the doors on its home brewing underbelly and take a picturesque horse ride into the wild with a cowboy.


Meeting a Legend – the Avery Brewery in Boulder – 17/09/16

In the city of Boulder, we got to pick the brain of one of our heroes, Adam Avery. Known for his pioneering ‘big’ beers (where talking 18% barrel aged stouts here!) we learn the secrets of success from one of the best.

Odell Brewing – In Your Box This Month – 19/09/16

Matt Curtis takes a trip to Odell Brewing in this months FERMENT and you’ll be trying some of their amazing beers, freshly imported for you this month in your Beer52 box. We crack open a few and discuss what makes them so goddam good.


Our Favourite Bars in Colorado – 21/09/16

We visited so many bars on our road trip and we had to pick out our favourites. This list will give you our recommendations and any top tips for when you plan your trip. (I’m assuming you’ve already booked your flight?!)

One of Americas pioneering breweries – we dropped in and chatted to the guys behind ‘the best APA in the world’ – Dales Pale Ale. We learn about their history and why you’re very lucky to have a few of their beers in your Beer52 box month.
