We’ve teamed up with our pals at Colorado Tourism to highlight some of the best breweries in Colorado that you may never have heard of. In the home of craft beer there are plenty to choose from – here are the best that we managed to narrow it down to…
Broken Compass – Breckenridge
The second largest brewer in Breckenridge. Broken Compass makes great beers including many experimental brews to try only in their taproom. So bring your own grub and and enjoy in the cozy and friendly tap room.
Ska Brewing – Durango
Recently celebrating their 21 anniversary, Ska has been pioneer in Colorado craft brewing. Blending a mix of delicious beer, a love of Ska music and a hatred of big, bad beer.
Three Barrel Brewing – Del Norte
These guys brew killer beer in an unexpected place. They take their water from the Rio Grande, mostly use Colorado gratin in all of their beers and look to bring beer back to its roots. Cheers to that and their awesome beer.
Telluride Brewing – Telluride
Situated in one of Colorado’s most beautiful towns, Telluride also brews some of Colorado’s most beautiful beer. Drinking amongst the vessels you can enjoy their delicious wears before heading outside into the stunning surroundings.
Colorado Boy – Ridgeway
They brew some of the finest old English style beers in Colorado and serve in cask and on tap from their home in Ridgeway. Paired with outstanding wood fired pizza and a small town pub atmosphere.
Palisade Brewing – Palisade
Located in the heart of Western Slope farm country, you can stop by the brewery and tour a peach farm. Proud of making beer that makes you smile – we’d have to say it made us grin!
Butcher Knife Brewing – Steamboat
Much like here at Beer52, they have a focus on finding and exploring different types of beer. But once you’ve tried some of theirs you’ll be wanting another! Also they make a great Hefeweizen.
Hopefully with our friends at Colorado Tourism, we’ve brought some new breweries to your attention. Are their any that you thing deserve recognition? Let us know on Facebook and Twitter!
